ORDERING AND SHIPPING INFORMATION

GENERAL SHIPPING INFORMATION FOR ALL ORDERS PLACED BEFORE 3:00 PM EST

 

Customized Hand Wrapped Butter Portion Orders
All customized hand wrapped butter portion orders are shipped on the Wednesday following a 14-business day period from the time the customer approves such order.
Butter Emporium reserves the right to modify the shipping date to accommodate any delays.

All orders placed after 3:00 pm EST will be processed the following business day based on the above shipping schedule.

 

SHIPPING TERMS
Butter Emporium currently ships within the United States via Federal Express (FedEx) 2nd day air.
There is currently NO SHIPPING OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES.
Unexpected weather delays may affect shipping dates, delivery dates and times.
Once the order has left our facility, Butter Emporium cannot assume responsibility for any shipping delays or problems due solely to the shipping carrier.

To facilitate delivery, specific instructions may be provided in the “Additional Information” section when placing an order, such as:

(a) A unit, apartment, suite, or floor number to the selected delivery address.

(b) A buzzer number or entry code to the selected delivery address.

(c) “Leave with the doorman, concierge or security gatehouse”.

(d) The Party location to include: Event location Name, Address, Receiving person name (chef, event coordinator, etc.) Phone and delivery instructions.

 

SHIPPING COSTS
Shipping is FREE.


TEMPERATURE SENSITIVITY
Due to the perishable nature of the products, they are shipped via Federal Express 2nd day air.
Special packaging to keep the products cool is included at no extra cost to the customer.

Once delivered, the hand wrapped box must be removed from the cooler and placed in a refrigerator or freezer for extended freshness. 

 
HOLIDAY DELIVERIES
Deliveries during any holiday are based on Federal Express business hours and schedules.

TRACKING YOUR ORDER
Once an order has shipped, an email notification with the tracking number will be sent.
Orders may be tracked at any time on the FedEx website.
The tracking number is also available in "MY ACCOUNT" - "MY ORDERS" of the Butter Emporium website.


SHIPPING FAQ

What if the order is going to a business?
If an order is being shipped to a business, FedEx will deliver the package to the designated delivery area where all other packages are received by the company (i.e. receiving area, loading dock, reception or administrative desk).
Many companies do not permit the delivery drivers to enter an office in search of a specific individual; it is therefore the company’s responsibility to ensure the order reaches the correct recipient once the package has been signed for.


Do recipients have to be present to receive their packages?
Yes, and a signature is required! This policy is non-negotiable.
If the carrier cannot obtain a signature they will not be able to leave the package. A second attempt to deliver will be made, often on the next business day.


What if an incorrect or incomplete address is provided?

If an order is shipped based on an incorrect address provided by the customer, it will be returned to Butter Emporium. FedEx charges Butter Emporium a flat fee of $45 to return the package, which will be charged back to the customer. Once a package with an incorrect or incomplete address has left Butter Emporium, little can be done. On occasion, it may be possible to reroute a package to the proper address for a fee of $25 but this is not always successful. The $25 rerouting fee does not guarantee the change of address mid-shipment and is non-refundable.
A deliverable package will be returned to us and sent back out for delivery at an additional cost.
FedEx does not always call to inform us of a problem. We are often unaware there is a problem until the package is returned. In these instances, we ask for the customer’s patience. In return, we promise to do everything in our power to ensure the order arrives in perfect condition and as soon as humanly possible.
